RW&A Lakeside Route - Patch by Rick Grout (ricksan)
RWA_Lakeside_Patch_03-06-14.zip - 173 kb
Updates signal colors and 2 scenarios.
The attached file contains the patches we’ve identified and written about, namely...
- Swap-out of the green and red aspects on the color-light signals.
- Split-up of the Mine Shuttle scenario. Although some of the more experienced users have found an apparently simple workaround for the reported stalled-at-red-light problem, we’re concerned that many users will not understand how to do apply that fix and will report problems in the future. The Part 1 scenario overwrites the original full scenario, and the Part 2 scenario includes some interesting AI meets not present in the original.
The turntable problem - trains derailing due to excessive acceleration forces - is not fixable, in my opinion. The problem only seems to occur when two-unit consists, including engine-tenders, are rotated. This will be have to remain a “known issue.” Users will need to key-stroke or click through the turntable rotational sectors one at a time. By clicking in anticipation of the next stop, they can achieve a fairly steady rotation and avoid the toppling effect.
