Pogwassek Island Railway 1960-70s Route

Pogwassek Island Railway 1960-70s - Route - ReadMe

Welcome to the Atlantic Coast of Maine, USA (nearly Canada but not quite).

This route is based on the route T&B "The East End" by goddrauG, available in the RWA library. The original route is set in Maine
in recent times with the railways of the island of Pogwassek (Pogwassek Island Railway) and it's sister road, on the near by
mainland, the Prescott & Cedar Island Railway. Being in a "backwater"(sorry Maine, no slur intended) the Island, in its isolation
still uses 40ft and 50ft rolling stock of the past with little physical interconnection between mainland and Island. There are
many abandoned/little used spurs on both railways but a living is still made by them.

Shoot back 50-60 years and this is the route I present now. It complements not replaces the original with the abandoned spurs now
in use and a healthy railcar ferry service between the Mainland at Oak Bay and the Island at Adams Bay. In order to fit I have tweaked
some of the trackwork but it is basically as the original plus although I have added sidings at yards and a station serving the
Airport. All of this is, of course fiction, but it might have been.
There are 8 standard scenarios included in the route including 2 passenger runs along the mainland track - enjoy the scenery here
and on the Island.

Unzip and drop the contents folder into your Railworks folder.

There is an Asset packavailable and it has some custom repaints included such as the 70 Ton Stone hoppers, PS2 Grain hoppers
and the Prescott Airport station building. Locomotive repaints by Buzz456 and myself are in the RWA library.

Thank you Jack for a great shortline route and a good excuse to use those 40ft and 50ft Boxcars with the roofboards - now I must
find a Hobo or three to ride along. I hope you enjoy the route in both forms.

This route is supplied as freeware and you may do with it as you wish providing you do NOT make money from it. Please credit the
