FEC Freight Cars ReadMe

This package of repainted cars comprises of 4 freight cars typical of those used by the Florida East
Coast Railway which serves Florida with a mainline between Jacksonville (where it interchanges with
NS and CSX) and Miami (where it interchanges with CSX).There are a few short branches to industries and Ports.
FEC hauls huge quantities of Ballast (in hoppers and Gondolas) and is a major hauler of TOFC and
container traffic (from the ports of Miami, West Palm Beach and Port Everglades). The intermodal cars
are in another library listing.
The repaints are not necessarily replicas of actual Florida East Coast rolling stock they are merely
representative as there are few other rolling stock items bearing that livery currently in the game.
FEC does have or did have cars of these types and with the recent release to the RWA library of
FEC locomotive repaints, by Buzz456, I thought we should have some non CSX cars for them to haul.

The repaints are based on payware models from DTG\Norfolk Southern N-Line addon (Ballast Cars) and
RSC\Marias Pass (the remaining three cars). These are available on Steam:

These routes are required for these repainted cars to work.

Installation

1. Unzip the file and then copy the Assets folder into your Railworks folder.

2. Go to your Assets\DTG\NLine\RailVehicles\Freight folder and open the Ballast Hopper folder, then the Default
   folder and copy the BallastHopper.GEOPCDX file. Drop that .Geo file into the Ballast Hopper\FEC folder.
3. Go to your Assets\RSC\MariasPass\RailVehicles\Freight\BoxCar folder, then open the Default\Wagon folder and
copy the box_car.Geo file. Drop that .Geo file from the BoxCar\Default\Wagon folder into the BoxCar\FEC\Wagon folder.
4. Do similar with the .Geo file from the CementHopper\Default\Wagon folder into the CementHopper\FEC\Wagon folder.
5. Do similar with the .Geo file from the LowGondola\Default folder into the LowGondola\FEC folder

In the editor the cars show as FEC Ballast Hopper, FEC Double Door BoxCar, FEC Hopper 2-Bay Cement Red and
FEC Low Gondola.
