This is a Santa Fe (ATSF) repaint for the Kuju coal hopper.
README
Thank you for downloading this Santa Fe (ATSF) repaint for the Kuju coal hopper. Back in the late 90's, I had a dream about a Santa Fe coal train on Tehachapi. It was pulled by a solid set of their C44-9W's in the red and silver "Super Fleet" paint scheme. Behind the power was a unit train of coal hoppers, also in painted in the same scheme. The dream had such an impact that... I was actually able to remember it... and it inspired me to do something other than forget about it.
At the time, I was still modeling in HO scale, so I thought it would be interesting to paint up a sample car and send it off the Santa Fe PR dept for consideration. After gathering up all the necessary decals along with an undecorated car... life happened and the car never did get painted. But thanks to TSC, I was able to replicate my dream in virtual scale (check out page 8 of Any Route any Era 2024 in the RWA screen shots forum).
Before installing this repaint, you will need the Kuju RailsimulatorUS content, which I believe now comes with TSC installs.
To install the repaint, copy the entire Assets folder into your TSC Assets folder. This is usually found at C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\RailWorks\ but your installation may vary.
To use in a route or scenario, just make sure RailsimulatorUS is checked under the Kuju provider. Then look for:
Coal Hopper ATSF
Finally, a big thank you to Pete Willard over at RailSimStuff.com for producing the necessary fonts.
If you have any questions or run into problems, please PM on the RWA forum (cnwfan). Thank you, and I hope you enjoy this repaint!
