Ok...I'm a little stumped here. I wanted to try the 3D clouds with the shadows on other routes. I cloned the scenario free roam Cajon Pass in summer to test it out. I changed the weather to "3D 2. Cloudy". Saved it and ran it. I'm not seeing cloud shadows as best I can tell. I DID see the moving shadows in the Academy. So I cloned and edited the academy scenario (the first SD70MAC one on the list) that I saw the moving cloud shadows in to see why it works there and not elsewhere.
The weather selected THERE is called "3D Cloudy"... NOT "3D 2. Cloudy". I look at the list and "3D 2. Cloudy" is ALSO an option. So I change it to "3D 2. Cloudy" and test it. I can't see shadows moving best I could tell like I could with "3D Cloudy".
So I go back to my cloned free roam Cajon Pass in summer scenario and I'm thinking I'll just change it from "3D 2. Cloudy" to the one I know works..."3D Cloudy". Except "3D Cloudy" isn't even one of the options. Only the numbered 3D ones ("3D 1. Clear", "3D 2. Cloudy", etc etc) are there and that cloudy doesn't seem to cast moving shadows.
I do have Bermúdez's "Cajon Pass with Superelevation" enhancement installed. Not sure if that's a factor. Cloned a Stevens Pass scenario to test and "3D 2. Cloudy" was once again the only option.
BUT.... I cloned a Pacific Surfliner scenario and noticed "PS 3D Cloudy" was an option. The "PS" in the name indicates it's specific to this route. I tried it out and........IT WORKS!!!!
Anybody know why "3D 2. Cloudy" doesn't seem to work? Seems like each route has some weather options other routes don't have... or ....it shares some with other routes. It's weird!
I'm all ears!
