Opinion on Professionalism

Postby glenn68 » Thu Jun 13, 2013 8:58 pm

Gentlemen,
When it comes to spending money on simulator games I would expect a decent level of professionalism. Today I had experienced something that I would consider very unprofessional towards the representation to Run-8 simulator. I have a Facebook account and at one point had "liked" the Run-8 simulator but it was earlier on during its development. I was noticing in my feeds bunch of child like messages coming from that page so, I decided to check it out. So you understand I was still interested in Run-8, but after today, I am no longer interested. Why? First off I had private messaged one younger man who was on my Facebook friends list about this child like behavior and boy did his true colors showed. I will not mention his name or mention his private messages to me. Believe me It was not nice. So I understand why Railsimulator.com does their communications like they do. My question if you are in business to make money in the gaming industry would you not keep it professional? Would you not have Facebook pages dedicated with its name Run-8 clean so that you would want to attract customers? I am NOT bashing Run-8 by any means but if this is a representation on how NOT to attract customers, then they did a excellent job!

I've been watching this guy. For short, he's an a-hole. He really makes himself look bad.

I think I found that page you were talking about and if you read his statements, ******he does say he is NOT an official Run 8 page***********. Anyway, he does seem to have a very bad gripe with Railworks and this community, he also states that he was a previous member here too. I have a few hunches of who this author may be from this community, but I am keeping those thoughts to myself, I'm not interested in starting something.

In short I wouldn't base my opinions on Run 8 from this guy, seems like a highly opinionated blogger that has a RW bashing agenda to me. Same would go if someone was trying to get a opinion for RW and this community from some bias facebook page! !*salute*!

We are not talking about any simulator. We are talking about people behavior. If we are talking about simulators take it somewhere else.

I apologize, I was just trying to communicate that from the page that I saw was that it WAS NOT an official page for the company and that this persons opinion should not be taken as the official opinion/behavior/conduct of the company Run 8 Studios. My fault!

Go read his blog. The owner of the page renamed it in the late evening when he saw my post. The page was Run-8 for a long time.

We do not need this kind of drama here. Topic closed.
