3DTrains Scaleroad

Unread postby CSX2057 » Tue Apr 23, 2013 1:47 pm

I just found 3DTrains Scaleroad. Now I got a problem. I want to switch from RSC Road to Scaleroad. Is that possible to work the same way as I did on the tracks?

I suppose - how did you do the tracks?
Cheers!

Papaexpress told me about the program RWtools. He gave me the link on how to swap tracks.

http://www.rstools.info/tutorials/Replacing_Track.pdf

And what I did was I had Cajon Pass tracks, SanB. I've been looking into the tracks, tried out C1 with different names and only came up with a darker color which didn't go very well. Then I decided to give ATSF & SP one last shot I could get. Soon as I chosed W1 Mainline. It was perfect! idk if RWtools has any info for swapping the roads. but if its not possible I can manually change those out myself without moving everything around. Just have to find the exact width from RSC to Scaleroad. Don't think that'll be too difficult.

This is AWESOME! I thought you would have to completely replace tracks manually piece by piece to do this. I must get that RWtools! That alone makes it worth the price! *!greengrin!*

Yup thats what I did on my route.

Got a question has anyone had any issues with the scaleroad cars stopping at a crossing?

I used the freeware version for the Thomas-Putnam-Otto-SB Cajon Pass route and can recall a few cars going across the tracks into my path. I'm just assuming all the roads were ScaleRoad unless it uses both. If so... maybe it was the default road cars that blew across the track and not ScaleRoad ones. To be honest... I installed ScaleRoad cuz the authors of the route said to. I never really paid much attention to the difference with the default roads. I'm mostly looking down the track and not so much at what the roads look like.
