It does have some bass to the engine sounds which I like. Video tomorrow.

That is a matter of opinion, but the yellow on the UP SD45 is not armour yellow, neither is it on the SD70ACe, or the Sherman Hill locos. They are all close, but I don't like the lack of color consistancy...

It looks amazing though!

I see UP trains daily and the color is in reality not too consistent I'm sure based on age.

Only problem is the trucks. They aren't SP's.

Oh man, I'm so excited! I've been waiting for this since the SD45 was first announced last summer. My time for RW has been extremely limited lately since I'm at school, and I told myself I wouldn't spend any more money on this game, but I'm very very tempted to purchase this while it's on sale...Somebody better hold my wallet for me !*roll-laugh*!

Very good eye! I was tired and wasn't paying close enough attention when I first bought it.

The SP trucks are shaped differently, have 7 holes in them (UP had 4 holes) and SP only had 2 brake pistons on the side of each truck, not 3. Somebody didn't do their homework! !DUH!
EMD 2-strokes rule! My all time favorite: SD45X also love the SD40-2/SD40T-2/SD45-2/SD45T-2/DD35A/DDA40X/SD70ACe/SD80ACe

Considering how great this model is, I'd argue that not only did they do their homework but they got about 98% on it...

And I'd argue they only needed to merely type "SP SD45" in google images to quickly realize it's a different truck. My best guess is that they got lazy and decided to reuse the trucks from the UP SD45 DLC. Cuz there are plenty of free pictures on the net they could have used as a reference.

Is it considered rivet counting? Sure. But a truck is a mighty big rivet to miss. If it was a freeware loco, I'd just laugh at the oversight. But if they are expecting me to pay for it, that's a much different story. Then I expect them to do their homework (google image search) to get it right.

I'm happy for the most part with it, but these oversights in paid DLC are starting to get on my nerves. The worst being RSC slapping a GE 4-stroke engine sound into the 2-stroke EMD SD70s DLC. The headlights wouldn't light down the track either. Thank goodness Krellnut and Machinist made an SD70 lighting and sound pack and saved the day on that one. *!!thnx!!*

To me I really like this loco, even if the trucks are wrong. I really like the Gyralight or Mars light too. Is there any way to turn on the gyralight with a keyboard command rather than being in the cab to turn the switch?

Although RSC does nice work, I don't think they are interested in going in to this depth of detail. If RCAP was to do locomotives, I would hope they will send it to some of the more educated individuals, in this community for what is essentially rivet counting. Were this done, RCAP would probably end up with a much nicer product than RSC.

Really??

It doesn't mention anything else apart from the locomotive and some scenarios on Steam, besides, Lord Mannu doesn't build freight cars, only locomotives up to now, so, what could possibly be included in this pack?

It includes 2 different box cars, an Airslide hopper, some gons, and a caboose. (I may have missed something)

We actually did a lot of research on the SP '45s but somehow the trucks slipped past us. We were looking to correct all issues with the past SD45 as well as add in great details such as the Gyralights with proper light patterns, and getting the sounds spot on. (For some reason, listening to the horn on other's systems, it sounds like the response points got goofed up)

OK I have a couple of questions. One is there a key board way to turn the gyr light on and off? Second I actually got the light right above the headlight to to rotate but not light up interesting .
