4404 is at Niles canyon, and is a SD9.

1518 is also being done. 990/5308/1518 was the original EMD SD7 Demo, and had dual control stands. SP equipped it with the big barrel light at both ends, and was painted in road switcher tiger stripes, then black widow, and then scarlet and gray with feathers at both ends (bi-directional remember), making it the only SD7 so painted. It also had a passenger boiler, using the cab end tank for water. After it was rebuilt in 1979 or so, it lost the long hood feathers, the bi-directional control stands, the boiler, and the cab end tank leaving it with a 1200 gal fuel capacity. I plan to do the Demo (near done) and then 5308 in the black widow versions and gray and red in one single package.

Don't forget PapaXpress as well, he's the Wizard that makes the lights, and makes them work. The E-Stop red light actually works on e-stop, putting out an orbiting red light. The double Mars also orbits as well. Many custom and special detail parts come from his workbench as well.

b737lvr has graciously let us use his horn sounds for these projects, so the horns sound right.

Oh, there is a set of SD7s sitting on a siding around here somewhere in Armour Yellow and Dove Gray too. *!greengrin!*

This is one of my originals... The feathers were a real challenge to get the right shape an height.

Mdurdan, sorry. We didn't use your repaint for this. I am however using your snow models (which I need more of by the way... hint hint).

I will also make the models for that Nickel plate (only one left to make.)

SD7 1518 in the background, as it was finished after the 1979 rebuild, and as the Illinois rail museum has it, except UP removed the oscillating lights.

SD7 5308, previously the EMD Demo, and what is now 1518, as it was painted in the mid 50's. It has the steam boiler, winter hatch, single Pyle headlights, dual blat horns, and dual tanks. Papa is working up the barrel oscillating light, otherwise it's done. A Tiger stripe black and orange, and a Black widow version will be included. Oh, because it was unique, the 5308 was a engine class of one, DF-116.

SD9 4404, still running at Niles Canyon, at the midpoint of it's life as a mover of freight. Still more to do, louvers on the sills, correct shape class lights, and other detail things.

Let's wait for Britkit's updated GP9 then. What I need is some more snow. Especially for the roof.

The EMD Demo 990 was built in 1952
SP Bought it in 1953, renumbering it 5308 and had EMD paint it in the road switcher tiger stripes.
In 1955, all of the SD7s went through the paint shop and came out in the 'Black Widow' paint scheme. (now finished and added to the pic).
In 1958 the SD7s starting changing over to the scarlet and gray scheme.
In 1979 the SD7s were rebuilt into SD7Rs and were renumbered in the 1500 range to release the numbers for the SW1500s.

1518 now belongs to the Illinois Rail Museum, with rumors that it will be repainted back into the original Demo colors.

You guys didn't know we had a time machine, did you?
