Badass looking? They look like a midget submarine the Japanese used in WW II. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder I guess. I have several friends who like them and all they say is like you "they make smoke and rumble nice".

Out of curiosity, why do you mirror the text for the right side and also not use dynamic numbering?

I read that there is no auto numbering on them. Only get one.

Bob - I could never figure out the attraction to Alcos either - that is, until I saw them used on the Erie/LTV mining operations in MN. They're like Geeps on steroids. *!!wink!!*

Those and a few other engines I hear. For the developer, dynamic numbering is one of the easiest things to create.

Well maybe that is it, I have never seen one. The only really old engine I like is the U23B. I like it's looks.

Yes, the eye is a funny thing, but I think the curves and that rounded house roof on the RS-1s and RS-3s are just about the prettiest things going in early diesels. Whereas the various Dashes and Geeps leave me largely cold.

Go figure.

8 bit? That doesn't make any sense.

There are some formats that RWAceTool does not like. For instance 32bit BMP (which 3DC can use). If you need an alpha channel feed RWAceTool a TGA file.

I was suppose to help mdurdan with generating the texture file last night, but I failed to get to it.

PRR/PC units a must or I am not shelling out for it. LOL! If Mike is successful in repainting the unit and if there is PRR/PC repaints planned, I am game.

I would love some extremely dirty and rusty textures for this engine.
