Look on Map2 center right, below the fan rings. There are two black rounded corner rectangles. I believe those are the number board backs. But, since they are next to the smokestacks, they may be the inside of the stack.

Those were my first try. They turned out to be the tops of the exhaust stacks. Sure am using your template but I've still haven't found the number board backs... I guess I'm going to have to drop number sheets on everything and see if they will pinpoint them.

I know Mike or I figured out how to fix the shiny body. I have (or had) a perfect old SP gray across the entire engine. If I recall correctly there was a mask on the alpha channel which toned down just the body more than the other parts.

I just ran them through dxtbmp and used its alpha channels because photoshop always screws them up.. I suppoe i can run them back through and apply a black mask to tone ddown the reflectivenes,but to be honest, i kinda like it shiny.. Pull down the uploads ( or dont post em ).. Work just got intense on me again so as soon as i can escape it i'll work with the alpha channels and see if i can flatten em out without destroying the colors..

I have to admit I stopped work on my DT&I GP 38 because of the super high reflectivity on the long hood. If there is a map to layer into that area to flatten the sheen(not Charlie), That would be great!

you need to flatten the alpha channel. usually, dxtbmp does this almost automatically when you create a new alpha template, Pull the texture into dxtbmp and create a black alpha template, then edit that in photoshop or whatever you use to lighten the black to something slightly lighter.. do not go to white.. thats pure reflectivity.. Pure black becomes invisible, so you have to find a balance somewhere between the two.. dont give up just cuz its shiny. keep experimenting and you'll figure it out.. :0

You want to change the number board color, it's actually on the number TgPcDx itself. Each digit. 0 through 9 TgPcDx.

UR welcome. Most models are not done this way but this one is. It took me a few shots to figure out that was it.
Also you were asking about the gloss. Most can be adjusted with the alpha. The darker the more flat. Brighter is more gloss. As mentioned before. Use DXTBmp and create an alpha template. That should get you started. It is usually dark enough from the get go after you create an alpha. Should have no effect on your main color.

Well, the Alpha on this was pretty dark to begin with, and truth told, i wasnt sure which way RW used alpha channels. Knowing is appreciated.. Thank you.. Now that I've finally gotten a few hours i can call mine, i'm gonna go ahead and take the alpha channels out to pure black and adjust back inwards as needed.. Hopefully i'll be able to upload in a couple days..
