It's really hard to notice in photo's. But if you look at the nose and the frame (Trucks, fuel tanks), you can see a slight (and I mean slight) green hue to the nose.

Penn Central was so divided between Green Team (NYC) and Red Team (PRR), that even the paint shops painted locomotives in different colors. Some did NYC Black and others this Brunswick Green.

Plus from Norfolk Southern's description on their Facebook Page:

"Here is the first view of the Penn Central heritage unit fresh out of the shop in Muncie. In case you're wondering, the paint is "Brunswick Green", the underframe is black."

i dont see it personally alteast in this shot. But also, as the brusnwick ages it gets slightly more green. But as far as the PC. PRR AND NYC paint, they used what they had

Here's a "fixed" version someone did, in my opinion a better version. The NS photo was over exposed, photo shopped, ISO at 400 white out. Still looks black. !*roll-laugh*!

But to keep it in PC fashion, I wonder if they will keep it out of the wash rack and tow it 'dead in tow.'

From something as drab as Penn Central to something that looks like it can glow in the dark.

Awesome!! NS is really bending over backwards to do this....every single one of those could be out in revenue service instead of being on display for a family photo. !*salute*!

How hot was it?

Besides the heat, what a sight!

Norfolk Southern is doing its heritage proud. !*salute*!

Amazing here still could be a nice looking roundhouse and turntable with that number of stalls found.
Was there anything said as to how long the heritage units will remain in service? NS needs to keep them looking clean and neat and that will be an effort and cost moneyy.

It wasn't too bad, I stayed hydrated with water. It really was amazing to see all those units there in one place. :D
