Amtrak f40ph

Unread postby cometcatt » Fri May 18, 2012 10:50 am

I have installed David Brindley's f40ph and when I try to use it a weird black rectangle appears in between the bogey and the track (see below pic). Is there anything I can do to try to fix it?

You need to attach the image to a post. You can't link to it on your hard drive. *!!wink!!*

The model is old. After we got RW3, models like that needed upgraded. It did not get upgraded yet and no clue if it ever will be.

I think MadMike has a way to fix that. I believe he did the same for the Brindley GP7 and GP15.

OK, I'll have a TS2012 version out by the end of the weekend... I already have the ground shadow and oddball headlight issues fixed, and am working on the lighting now.

Thanks you all for your help. I think I'll avoid a whole bunch of file hacking and such and just wait for madmike to finish his update. *!lol!*

I think you're talking about the shadow TgPcDx file, there was an updated one available somewhere for all of Dave Brindley's locomotives since the upgrade to RW3, I'll have a look for you.

EDIT: Try this - http://www.impulse.eclipse.co.uk/rw/sof ... ong.TgPcDx

MadMike is a genius.

I organize all my rolling stock downloads by car type--except MadMike and Michael Stephan (Great Northerner). They get their own folders, I love their stuff so much. *!greengrin!*

Looking forward to this upgrade, MM!

MadMike and I were looking over it last night. There are a few small details that need to fixed as well.

Ok, Papa is knocking himself out fixing up the lit elements for the headlights, we've added the flashing beacons he made, and have functioning headlights and marker lights both directions. The red brow light lights when in reverse. Finishing it up and fixing the readme files will take a day or so, so I'll miss the 'end of the weekend' but you'll like the result.

After some examination, I think an Amtrak Cascades is not beyond possibility.
