Already thinking of repainting it eh?

If we don't yet have HSC because we can't afford to buy it.

Can we still buy the engine and run it on other routes?

The only reason why I believe they put that in there is for the scenarios. The locomotive should load just fine on other routes!

It runs on the NERW. Was afraid it wouldnt as the G-Trax steamers all derail going through a switch. All others work.

Westward Wanderer is broken here too...I think it will need an update from RSC. Lots of errors and missing markers like you said.

However, after playing with this loco for a while, I am very impressed. Not only because of the gorgeous model and nice sounds, but because of the physics. It feels really good. As mentioned, wheelslip is well done, and shows the visual couterpart as well (drivers going crazy when they break loose!).

I very much look forward to future US steam from RSC!

Yep, they do! Not sure that the sound follows the motion correctly...but at least its a real improvement.

I created a long freight consist and headed west out of Altoona on a snowy day, and just west of town I got wheelslip at a high power setting. It depends on track condition, though you might get it to slip on dry track too.

Visual wheelslip has been available, but not implemented in US steam locos until now.

A few pictures of this awesome add-on (in good lighting!):

Same excellent beta testing as always, it seems...

The IHH 9F which has been around forever has graphical wheelslip.

There is a bug, folks. Drive slowly and watch the driving wheels - they all move at varyingly slightly different speeds to each other, as if they all have independent wheelslip. Impossible with coupled wheels!!

Worked with the locomotive a lot more last night and I am in love with the thing. It looks outstanding on the HSC and quite frankly one of the easiest steam locomotives to drive in terms of keeping the boiler pressure up(always had trouble with that). Now I just gotta build a new laptop cooling pad to shove more air though my laptop to keep it cooler(current store bought pad isn't cutting it). Radio Shack here I come for that 4 inch 120vac fan..... *!twisted!*
