AEM-7 with enhanced lighting and compatible with RailDriver

Unread postby dick8299 » Sat Jan 21, 2012 7:01 am

A new version of the AEM-7 engine will soon be uploaded to the file library. This version has enhanced lighting courtesy of Doc (Machinist) Lisboa; and full RailDriver compatiblity courtesy of Richard (dick8299) Ham. The upload will also include cloned scenarios created by Lisboa using the modified engine in the Northwest Corridor Route.

Finally Raildrivers users can drive the AEM-7 in 8 cloned modified scenarios versions (5 just adapted to the Mod, and more 3 of them at night). F4 users can also take the advantage of new lighting and cabviews, especially in nighty mod scenarios.

Features:
1) Enhanced: Headlights (much brighter).
2) Added: soft Cab Light (at every weather and time of day), Numbers Display light, completed and lighted crew on both ends of locomotive.
3) Enhanced: New Cab Views a bit backwards and downwards (allow you to read Instructions Screen while driving): From inside the cab you can now see the track ahead and more of the instruments (both left and right hands).
4) New modified versions of four RSC default scenarios, and one Trains and Drivers scenario, to be played with the AEM-7 RD Mod on the NEC Route. All the engines in each scenario were swapped by the Mod (which will provide you nicer roll-bys at night), so you don't need to edit with RW_Tools to play with the AEM-7 RD.
5) Three slightly modified versions of RSC default scenarios (on NEC Route) to be played at night also.
6) One freeroam scenario "Show Case" (on NEC Route) to you test and feel the power of pack.
7) Engine bin file has been modified to be compatible with RailDriver and F4 Hud (this version is not compatible with keyboard controls)

This looks good, but I don't understand why it isn't compatible with keyboard controls.

I don't either. I have tried various methods to correct, please take a stab at it yourself if you download. I didn't realize it would not respond to the keyboard either, because with RailDriver, I never use the keyboard.

It does respond to the RailDriver, the F4 HUD, and the in cab animated controls.

The files were submitted to the File Library last night, should be there soon.
