I really want to know because I would like VORA to use this route!

I actually made this route in MTS four years ago, was never released. I spent two years, that took me from Chicago to South Bend. How many miles? 95 miles by car according to google earth. My hope with my RW route is to reach Elkhart 112 miles by car from Chicago. I might even go further east, dont know yet. Have so many route projects i would like to create. Rogers Pass and an MRL route would be awesome to create. Not enough time , not enough time... *!!wink!!*

Foggy morning at the entrance to Barr Yard

Right train, inbound CSX coil run from Gary Indiana heading for its own Barr Yard.
Left train, outbound CSX heading east for more scrap pickups at the large Gary Indiana works.

Things to do in this shot, add crossing panel at level crossing, add level crossing and place signals

This route looks so good, and it would be perfect for VORA I think. There are so few RW tracks that work for that. If you need a beta tester, let me know!

First off: We wants it, my Precious. !*drool*!

Second, how many payware assets are in this thing once it becomes available for the drooling public, and how much will you charge for it once you're done with it? Cause it looks very high-quality, you could get away with making it payware/donationware. I'd pay for it.

Looks awesome! I was lucky enough to get to drive an IHB SW1500 (#9202) in Hammond (Gibson) Yard. Brings back memories.

Some IHB paints would be awesome too...even though the RSC model is incorrect, regarding the handrail location.

Ozama, I like the way you think, and thank you. I havent actually thought about that yet ..... But, since im not doing any modelling myself it must be released as freeware. It would be a sort of, a thanks to all my fellow railworkers who help out in making this simulator so great ! Note, If im ever to start my own payware outfit, i would consider doing the MRL or the Rogers Pass, but i must first learn how to model objects and that is a steep learning curve *!sad!*

I have no clue as to how many payware assets im using, but im using all the assets from everything that ive bought as DLC, along with freeware objects as well. *!!wink!!*

Montanarails

Im actually about to model the Gibson yard tonight *!!wink!!* I envy you for getting that SW1500 drive ! The IHB is such an interesting operation and the area it covers, wow !

If any repainters / reskinner guys are reading these pages.....IHB units would be a welcome addition to the Railworks world ... *!embar*!

Since you're using such a large variety of assets, please, please, PLEASE make a list of what you used and where to find it. I absolutely despise asset-hunting, and I won't even download a route unless the readme clearly explains where to find everything. Which would be a shame in this case, because this looks awesome.

Just one more note, since you aren't from the US, you probably haven't seen the crossings much, but the yellow round sign goes about 25-50 feet before the actual crossing lights. And where a crossing has lights it usually doesn't have a rr crossing sign in front of it.
