What OS are you using? If its Win 7 you may want to check if you can get at the file's 'Previous Version'. Though this is not guaranteed to be turned on, it has saved me a couple times.

Don't throw in the towel yet!

On adding textures to your texture file check out this link.

viewtopic.php?f=17&t=372&start=15

On page 2 of this post about 3/4 down the post by spec5sx shows how to hack the textures.bin file.
It takes time but it works.

Did you know that if you click that little piece of paper looking icon (either orange or white), it will give you a direct link to any specific post?

Once you click that, just copy the link from your browser's address bar.

Example: viewtopic.php?p=2224#p2224
The above link should take yo directly to the post you mentioned.

SMMDigital wrote:The technique for an existing route is the one I used. When I reopened the route after the change, all of my textures had changed. The gravel under the ROW had changed to bare grass. The regular grass was a wierd light green color. I thought the pack would add-to the selection of textures that we already have, not change them completely.

The new textures must be placed in your route's textures.bin file AFTER any textures that were already there.
