Narrow Gauge Couplers

Unread postby TheKman » Sun Jan 25, 2026 12:01 pm

I have designed several standard gauge cars. The couplers on my cars is my own design. I have been working on my second NG car. I have noticed that the couplers on the narrow gauge payware a freeware cars look a bit smaller compared to mine. Are NG couplers slightly smaller in size? I can resize my coupler in the 3D prgram I use.

Thanks.

I found this photo on the web. I believe it's an idler flat car that the DRGW used to switch narrow gauge cars with a standard gauge loco. The lower coupler is for narrow gauge, and it does look slightly smaller than the standard gauge coupler.
