Armstrong Powerhouse Sky & Weather 2.0

Unread postby miata54 » Mon Jul 10, 2023 8:15 pm

I am slowly working through the instruction manual trying to figure out how to properly use the program. In the attached pic, please note command number 4 which states, "Now find the scenario Marker and double click it." My question is, where do you find this Marker? Is it in a flyout or other location? Hope someone who has this program can help.

Thanks

When you open up a scenario in the editor this is the route marker. Click on the top right flyout and pin it. (little push pin icon).

Can you adapt Armstrong Powerhouse Sky & Weather for US routes?

Yes, it's a matter of replacing the seasonal .bin files in the TimeOfDay folder. Not that hard once you figure it out. Some routes use special names for the seasons and you need to edit the replacement .bin files season names for these. Example, Sherman Hill TimeOfDay Autumn.bin file would be Sherman_Autumn.bin, The standard would be Autumn.bin. The download will convert a number of European routes during installation.
Here it is installed on Canadian River Sub.

I don't have v2.0 but I have applied V1 to some third-party UK routes. I have not tried it on North American routes so far.

I would add a couple of caveats to what AmericanSteam says
Instructions are provided in the manual to apply this pack to other routes. Please note that this is on a no-support basis.
Also Fork Lightning is shown in the demo scenario but you cannot add it to your own scenarios.
