Hello,
I've found that many signals in the RCAP (and some SMMdigital) are not set to stopping.
This might make sense when looking at the real world American signals.

But in TS you cannot simulate a permissive situation by setting a signal to ">eFalse</Stopping>" :
This causes the scenario manager to reject a situation where two trains follow each other within two blocks, even if each train has its own block.
This is exactly the opposite of reality, since in TS there are fewer trains between three signals than there are two trains between two signals in reality.

With the TS you will never be able to simulate a permissive situation in the AI trains!

The same applies to restricted signals.

Only the player himself could continue at a signal indicating a stop at a restricted or permissive signal, but even in this situation a no stop signal would not help:
If the signal is "noStopping", the player will not have the problem entering an occupied block at this signal, he will have this problem at the previous stop signal.

When the signal shows a stop, the player has an opportunity to press the TAB key. This is the only way to do this in TS.
If the following block is not occupied, the player may continue.
Continuing to an occupied block is possible, but with bugs and some side effects regarding the AI train.

My suggestion is:
Leave only the signals marked “p” (permissive) unchanged.
Change all other signals to stop. That are many:

My head hurts.

I am such a noob and the complexity of signals, not to mention different roads having different rules.… it boggles the mind.

I will follow this and perhaps learn.

I want to emphasize again: stopping or nostopping has nothing to do with reality, but only if the TS separates the track section before and after a signal with this signal.

The interest is really overwhelming ! !DUH!

The question is, is it better to release a patch of the affected signals correcting the existing blueprints or to provide new blueprints with the feature "stopping" ?

Personally, I'd rather have a separate set of blueprints with the correction. That way, I always have the original set if needed. Just my two cents though.

By principle, you are right.

The actual signals are organized in a folder structure like
RailNetwork\Signals\[TYPE]\Post\ or Track\ which use Head\

To avoid confusion I could replicate the blueprints into
RailNetwork\Signals\[TYPE]\PostStopping\ or simmilar.
According to the list in my first post only signals in
SafeTranV20\Head\
SafeTranV20\Post\
and
USS_H2\Post\ (Searchlights)
are affected.

To change the names in the editor I would suggest these systems:
I could add the word "stop" or simply an "s" at the end of the replicated, changed blueprints and deliver unmodified original blueprints with an "nostop" or "nos" at the end of their names to highlight these without stopping. In this case it would only be necessary to replicate blueprints to a new folder which have been changed from nostopping to stopping.
In the editor you would have all variations together.

Or I add a different letter at the beginning of a name, like "sRCAP [Type]".
Then you have only to type an "s" to jump to this list (all signals stopping except of the the permissive ones) and "r" to jump to the original.
In this case I would include all blueprints from SafeTranV20 and USS_H2 into the new folder as it is not useful when you have to jump between the lists.

These are just suggestions.
I am open to any variety as I have used these signals only on my testroute so far.
