TS2023?

Unread postby NS349 » Thu Sep 01, 2022 8:20 pm

Hopefully I won't get criticized for this topic, but I just thought I'd ask since I can't seem to find a direct answer regarding "TS2023" That's why I am posting to know via railworks sources. Is 2023 even being talked about or is classic the last of what we get as far as the game goes? I am just wanting to know if anyone knows the future of this game engine. Not just speculation, but I am open to all possibility's in regards.

Thanks

I think the last an final name will be Train Simulator Classic. I think that they did it to save money. Now they don't need to buy new cocktail napkins every time they change the name.

I concur that there will likely not be a TS2023 or beyond. The posts on this forum kind of summarize my understanding of DTGs intentions: https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/can-anyone-explain-to-me-what-is-classic-about-the-new-version.54144/

Or maybe it will change to TSC2 as does Train Sim World has to TSW2 when they want to charge you for a new game? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vWhOKnoWs&wHocarEs

All in fun.
