That cool intro

Unread postby Tomtom » Fri Apr 02, 2021 8:29 pm

Hello,

I like to visit here once in a while when I get Train Simulator fever. There was a post a while ago where someone asked how to replace their introduction (start) video with the very cool one that came with TS 2019, or 2018 (the one with the UP loco starting up in a snow storm).

I would really like to do that with my TS 2020. I have old back-ups from TS 2019, and 2018 and 2017 (I think). Could someone be so kind as to either point me to that post (I can't find it) or help me walk through the file(s) I need to replace?

Much appreciated! !*salute*!

Quick google search https://steamcommunity.com/app/24010/discussions/3/350542145698638207/ Even though the topic is about removing the video he shows you exactly how to replace it.

Not sure what you mean buzz456. I know this isn't facebook. I don't get the joke. I am simply asking a question like this forum used to be like.

With all do respect, please explain. I notice that my post to thank JohnS and acknowledge other's replies is gone. I'm sure it was there when I looked before. !**conf**!

What gives dude?

What gives was just pointing out your somewhat rude remarks about no one responding. On farcebook fourteen people would have chimed in to tell you they didn't know or go off on some unrelated subject about their aunt matilda or something. !*roll-laugh*! It's unfortunate that you take yourself so seriously. Take a deep breath and lighten up. As far as any posts disappearing I have no knowledge. I am not the only admin on here you know.

Sorry for the delay on this subject.

Thanks to JohnS for pointing me in the right direction. !!*ok*!!

You will need an old back up of TS-2016.

In the TS-2016 main folder go to Data\Videos and double click the file name 2013_startup.ogv to play it. If this is the video you would like to start in you current version of TS, then simply Copy the 2013_startup.ogv and paste it to your current Railworks\Data\Videos folder. You will be asked to overwrite the existing file (it has the same name) and select yes to overwrite. There you go! Easy Peazy. Enjoy.

Thanks again to JohnS.
