Mike (FanRailer) and friend have generously helped me out with getting set up to use Streamlabs OBS and YouTube.

This means I'll be streaming on YouTube instead of doing a Steam broadcast. That in turn means anyone who couldn't make it to the live stream will still be able to watch a recording of it anytime afterwards.

I have just bought the Wasatch Grade route in anticipation, but I am not even going to look at it until the 4000's are released. Then I will hopefully swap out the default ones for these beauties and away...

I cant locate one, but has there been an update regarding this, in particular time a d location? I am assuming it will be another Youtube stream, but you know what they say about assuming.

Update thus weekend

The tender is almost finished (just a few minor details and some animations are still to be added), so I'm going ahead with another YouTube live stream this weekend, starting half an hour past midnight (00:30) GMT on the 6th (in the USA that's Saturday, Dec 5th, 4:30pm PT, 5:30pm MT, 6:30pm CT, 7:30pm ET).
I'll post a link to the stream around half an hour before I start, just so that we don't have the same hiccup as last time!
I'll take a heavy freight eastbound from Ogden towards Evanston and see how far I get, and maybe reserve some time for a fast freight (or maybe even a passenger consist) just to see how Big Boy handles at higher speed.

Too bad there is no voiceover for questions/comments/answers. This way I miss about all Q and A , which is text chat only :-( But hey, can't have it all :-)
