Dxtbmp Issues...

Unread postby CSXK921 » Mon Nov 02, 2020 6:08 pm

So, after falling out of the loop Railworks wise for 3 years or so I've returned and am making repaints again though I'm having a horribly annoying issue with Dxtbmp.

All goes well to the point where I update after the edit in Dxtbmp and save. It shows the updated texture in Dxtbmp yet when I save to go to RSBinTool and open the saved .dds, no changes were made. It looks like Dxtbmp is having issues saving.

I have been sort-of getting along by uninstalling Dxtbmp and reinstalling it fresh, but usually after a single edit it quits working again. !*hp*! Sometimes it doesn't work at all and I have to reinstall again sometimes up to 4-5 times for it to work again. **!!bang!!**

I was wondering if anybody else is having or has came across this issue before and have any idea on how to solve this.

Thanks in advance!

DXTbmp works great for me. No issues. Feel like you might have some setup problems.

Maybee. I have no idea. Nothing has changed in my hiatus. Also have a friend dealing with the exact same issue.

I have the same problems on my main PC but I can move the files over to my other PC that I installed all the required software on and it works fine. Then I have to transfer it back to my main PC. !**conf**!

I suggest that you take the computer off line and disable the anti virus etc. Then try it.
Remember to enable the anti virus etc on completion before going on line.

Try installing this and see if it solves any of your problems. I remember having a issue on one of my computers after the change over to win10.

And you are following the procedure exactly that I outlined correct? By the way the page I got that from said to install the dll's and then re-install DXTBmp program.
