Missing Ground Textures

I did a very stupid thing. I was warned. I have too many routes, so I deleted some. I was warned not to do this. I wanted to get rid of the European routes (I never run them anyway). In the process I lost scenery textures in my own route. For lack of a better description, assets i lost are contained in the scenery Index that contains grass, etc.. On my route grass shows up in a black, yellow and white pattern. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program twice now. Also I have Checked the game files using Steam twice. The only routes that seem to be affected are mine and Tori's C&o Allegheny route. When I started my route I chose Tori's route to model.
Please help me with a slow and simple instruction that this dumb old man can follow.

Have you run RWTools to see what it shows as missing?

If I had to guess, you probably got rid of the European Loco and Asset pack which contains some ground textures that the Allegheny uses. Just untick and retick the DLC box on the Steam page for the game and you should be good to go.

That way has changed now. Go to your library page and click on TS2020 on the left and on the right-hand side scroll down until you see manage my *** DLC then scroll down to find the European Asset Pack untick it then tick it again after about 30 seconds. I'm not sure whether you have to save between each operation.

I have tried the methods you guys suggested. The only way I have found to find the list of DLC that I use is to go to Railsimulator, Properties then DLC. In the list I do not have a European Loco and Asset pack or European Asset Pack listed. Everything shown in my list is checked. What to do now?

I ran RW Tools. The header of the page for Textures it read...Missing Textures. I think that was a page header and not a list of missing files for below that the title said "Textures", and then showed a list of all texture files. None of these files were highlighted. Ithink then there are none missing.

You need to click on the tab that says 'Route Building Tools'. The check routes and scenarios. Then find your route and follow the prompts.

How do you do this? I have looked all over the steam interface and have no idea where to do this download and validation.

That is the old way. There is a far easier way now as I have already mentioned. Just click on manage my DLC from your TS home page on the right of this screenshot.
