Bit of critique, and don't take it as nit picking. I would knock down the shine on the weathered versions. They're usually quite matte in appearance.

No worries. I see what you're saying but they are really not shiny. That was just my treatment of the panels. Maybe the light or maybe I just didn't get what I was trying for.

Hi Buzz,
I just saw the thread here for the Beth Gons, and felt like I should make a comment. Back in the years 1995-2001, I worked as a travelling retail services representative. From my home in Windber, PA to stores that I serviced in Indiana, Altoona, State College, Clearfield, St. Mary's, and other small towns in southwest central PA, I passed many trains full of these and other types of cars. Your work is spot on! Travelling west through Johnstown on PA Rte.403, I passed the Johnstown America/Freightcar America plant where these cars came out as finished products. Unfortunately, this was before I became immersed in DTG's simulator, so I didn't think to take pictures. Often I thought about how the morning or evening sunlight caught the sides of these cars and there were days I needed sunglasses to see without squinting. A cut of 20-30 of these fresh out of the shops reflecting the sunlight was amazing. The Conemaugh and Blacklick switchers that pulled these cars out usually pulled no more than 10 cars at a time with 5 being the most common amount. The sidings were on the other side of the highway less than a mile from the Dornick Point Sewage treatment plant. The smell wasn't pleasant on the best of days, but could you imagine waiting on a string of 20 or more to slowly cross the road on a hot summer day. Your paint jobs look like the cars have been sitting out a week or two, waiting to be gathered for transport.

For anyone interested in putting the shop in a route, check out a streetside map of Johnstown, PA Route 403 between Doris and Mage streets. Keep up the fantastic work you're doing, Buzz!
*!!thnx!!*

Thanks John,
I'm going to do various stages of dinge (is that a word) on most of these so we can see what we generally see with a long string of these. The way Rick mapped this makes it pretty easy to do. Hopefully we will have the major roads done this week and get it released.

It's great to see the extremely outdated Kuju model be replaced. I've done all I can with them. !*don-know!*

Seriously, how easy are these to repaint? I've got a lot of plans for these.

I think I got everything pretty much right here. I sure wish I knew what the writing on the end of these guys said. That would just be the icing on the cake.
Both versions pretty much out of the paint shop and after a while in service.
