Hm this one is hard work - the Santa Fe cab fits perfect - but also creates this graphic garbage and I do now know why. Not sure if it related to the model of the 9000 or using cabs from Steam stuff.
Maybe some freeware models have some usable cabs? Will try out the free NYC models, have them but had never a look at them.

Correction, I do not know why this happens, maybe some sort of copy protection or something?

Finally successful, the cab of the Freeware Hudson J3A fits perfectly in and works fine.
!You need the freeware NYC Hudson J3A model for this to work, get it here https://digitalrailroadingco.powweb.com ... comotives/!

Got most of the levers and gauges working, although not all for their original function.
For some reason the operation only can be done with keyboard, grabbing the controls with mouse does not work - examining.

Here it is for all three models:
https://1drv.ms/u/s!AhmLWyeq-a6oi4haLCr ... Q?e=s4NSS9

-Stoker meter shows stoking rate
-Tender water level gauge shows opening of live injector water valve
-Water pump meter shows opening of exhaust injector water valve
-Valve Pilot shows steam chest pressure (not absoultely sure what Valve Pilot is used for originally, in the hudson model it shows the cut-off)
-Speedo works, shows some deviation so not really matching. Will have a look if I can fix it
-Boiler pressure works OK
-Reverser works OK
-Regulator works OK
-Train brake works OK
-Engine brake works OK
-not really sure if train / engine brake gauges show the correct values
-Bell valve worsk OK
-Whistle cord works OK
-Firebox door works OK
-Light switch works OK
-Valves for injectors and air pump work OK
-Sander lever works OK
-Boiler water gauge on engineer side OK, fireman side not working since UP900x model has only one control for it
-CylCock lever not working since the control in the model seems not to be present at all

Let me know any issues please and really hoping you all enjoy it!

Regards, Thorsten

I had to clean out my Dropbox so the previous updates to the Allegheny are no longer available. Here's a link to the most up-to date version.

I'm still working on the cab, but it's going slowly.

Any update on your work on the cab? Also, the link above does not appear to work anymore.

Just installed them today, and they look really lovely. Now all we need are some LV and MILW passenger cars to go with them!

Here's the latest update to the Allegheny and Blue Ridge. (I made a correction to the pilot 2 days ago) It's a fairly large file - 683MB. The cab is still in the works.

The cab is starting to take shape. I have it in game, and have the regulator, reverser, loco & train brakes, firebox doors, and speedometer working. The levers are all operable with the mouse. This is all new to me, so I'm learning as I go. I don't have any blueprints of the cab, so I'm using what photos I can find. Hopefully, it will be fairly good representation of the Allegheny cab. I'm trying to add the most prominent features. My modeling skills are very basic, so don't expect the level of detail you get from in-game engines or those of other creators here on the site. I hope to add working gauges for boiler pressure, brakes, water level, and maybe a few more. I don't have any piping or valves on the backhead yet. I'm not ready to post screenshots, but will when I've made a little more progress.

Here is a preview of my progress on the Allegheny cab. Still a lot to do and I'm slowed by constantly going back and making changes or corrections to what I've done so far. I'm trying to do the animated items first and getting the fire 'burning' is my latest step. I'll add static objects such as pipe and valves later. As I said previously, this is all new to me and I'm just stumbling along. It's not meant to be scale, but a representation of the Allegheny cab. Since I'm working from photos, I'm estimating the size of objects and taking some liberties with the details. As you can see, texturing and shading is also a relatively new step for me. The speedometer reads a little faster that the speed in the HUD. It starts to sync about 40mph. I spent about a day trying to fix it, then decided I should keep building and hold off on fixing this and other issues I'm encountering. I can work on those later. When I first took this on, I had no idea if I would be able to get the animation working, much less finish it. Now, I'm encouraged and feel that I can finish it. It won't be in a class that many of you are used to or expect, but It's been a fun exercise for me and I'm learning quite a bit. Hopefully some will get some enjoyment out of it. Here is a screenshot of the cab in Blender and a video of it in game.

The route is the Allegheny 5 at Ronceverte, westbound. If you're not familiar with this route, you'll see some moving 'artifacts' out the engineer's window. These are a bug in the route, not the cab.
