Blueprint errors...

Unread postby Logan20131 » Sun Nov 11, 2018 5:20 pm

Hey Guys, So I'm running into an error with my engine blueprint. I've followed how it's supposed to be scripted as, but it keeps showing warnings and when I export it I get an error saying my file is missing a dependency.

Thanks for the help,

The two warnings ( yellow triangles ) can be safely ignored and are not causing your problem.

I think you haven't included the full report here, so its difficult to tell for sure, but I think you may have a texture missing that is referenced in the .igs.

My textures are fine, Am I supposed to have an object for the wheels to attach to?

Check the log in the bottom window of the BP Editor after attempting the export. On your screenshot it says it didn't complete the export due to errors, and usually (or even always?) these errors are specified somewhere in the log. Could be anything like a bad texture or a missing dependent file.

Regarding the missing bogie blueprints: these are crucial and 100% needed for the locomotive to function. You *can* reference them from another locomotive but only if the loco's (the actual 3D model's, not the prototype's) wheel sets are absolutely identical (same dimensions, positions and offsets of wheels and axles).

I have all of my bogie blueprints setup and connected to the engine script, but it says something in the mesh itself isn't working and I can't figure out what I missed. The instructions in the manual don't have any specific set up for 3ds max.
