Hurricane Prep

With the approach of Hurricane Florence, Amtrak canceled its Florida-bound trains on Tuesday. Yesterday, CSX crews were removing the crossing arms yesterday and the signal system is shut-down. There were a few CSX trains yesterday, but I haven't heard any today. I think the CSX mainline is far enough inland to avoid major damage, but the Wilmington line can expect some high winds and water.

As of right now, 9/15/18 - 5:00 pm, the eye of the storm is located 25 miles east of us. However, it has been downgraded to a huge rain-storm. We have some minor wind damage and a lot of rain, but we are so blessed that the storm didn't do more.

Thank you for the update, and glad to hear there isn't any severe damage. Will continue to be praying for you.
