I hope I'm not the only one stumped on this.
Definition of redacted
: edited especially in order to obscure or remove sensitive information

a highly redacted copy of the file

The Pentagon declined to make the … report public, and only when pressed with Freedom of Information Act demands did it disclose parts of the report, some 1,700 pages of documents so heavily redacted as to be nearly incomprehensible. —Scott Horton

Keep up the great work Syz0th. !*salute*!

Just a miscommunication error, as you can see, this is not my main language. In my country it means something completely different, I'm sorry xD.
I change "redact" for "make". *!greengrin!*

Hello everybody, I'm back at home!

I had checked that whole new TSW update, something in my head told me that it would give me a little more work regarding the project... And in fact, it did. As I was expecting, they have updated the Unreal version and I have to do so with the mod. Not anything that will break my brain, this is not the first time that happens. I hope a longer lifetime for this version, but who knows xD. I will try to get the mod updated as long as it's needed, so don't worry at all, remember that this is only a "demo" of what I really expect to do when the content manager finally comes out.

Also, I'll take advantage of this update to see if I can change the position of the numbers. I don't promise anything, but I'll see what I can do. I have already exported the model to 3ds Max and changed it to the specifications, but now I have to bring the modified model back to the game and see if it works correctly, so wish me luck and cross your fingers!

Have a couple of old captures to liven up the wait:

And as always, receive you all my most cordial greetings !!howdy!!.

*Edit:
- Nice news boys, it works again! !*YAAA*!.
- Added a third capture, this time showing the results in the actual version of the game. I simply love it !*drool*!.

Congratulations on your accomplishment of getting a stunning repaint into TSW!

I look forward to giving it a work out once it is available. As jalsina says "There is some hope for TSW"

Thank you for the work you have put into this.

Update!

Today I conclude my research about introducing models to TSW.
Unfortunately, it simply can't be done, at least not for the moment. Long story short, the softwares I am using are not compatible with the models of the actual version of the game. This is not an exception though, there are some other games that seems to have the same problem, so we are not alone. I hope Gildor keeps investigating about these cases and could release an update someday, but I have to say he already did an astonishing work with all his projects, so I won't be the one who complains about these issues.

The modified model

The attentive guy will be wondering, "but if the models are not compatible, how did you exported and edited the engine?". Well, here comes the fun fact.
When I do the same process (exporting the models from the game to a 3d modeling software, 3ds Max in my case) but with the ones of the first version of the game, everything works perfectly. When the game was running under a Unreal Engine 4.14, everything could be exported/imported back without any issue, but in the actual version of the game things are very different.
But I had one last bullet to shoot. Having in my possession the AC4400CW of the 1.0 version of the game, what could have stopped me to introduce the model back into the actual game after I edited it properly? It seemed plausible, both are just the same engine. I just had to convert it to the actual version and everything would be happy and colorful.
So, I did it. And I failed miserably. And the game laughed !*roll-laugh*! at me. But laughed hard !*roll-laugh*! !*roll-laugh*! !*roll-laugh*!.
It seems that the engines are different! I checked the size of both and it doesn't match! This is where I assume that this simply can't be done.

I can't work with a locomotive that is not the same as the actual, because the game rejects it. But at the same time, I can't neither work with the actual one, because it can't be exported to be modified.
It's almost funny at this point. Anyway, I'm done with it. So, I think the project has reached its gold phase (Yay! Yay! Yay!) and it will be uploaded as soon as possible. Stay tuned!

I have to say that it was an amazing experience, hope you all enjoyed the transcription of it xD.

This is the reverse rolling back of DTG model to 3DS Max, are they aware of it?

As long as he doesn't release the mesh in any form or otherwise infringe the EULA, there's nothing they can do about it as a person can privately do whatever he/she wants with the game.

Exactly, my game looks like a science lab more than a game xD.

With every new update in UE4, the BNSF have to be reinstalled? I doubt.

Yes and no. It depends on the version gap. For example, when the game went from UE 4.14 to the actual one, the textures stopped working propperly, and I had to re-export them to the new version. But if the game goes from the actual version (4.16?) to 4.18 for example, the textures will work, I checked it.

As I said, it all depends on the gap.

Is there any facility to encrypt the .pak so that its content can not be accessed?
May be encrypting is a bad idea as every time it had to be decrypt and then read and will consume much processing power.
