The front of the locomotive has no coupling capability, the Jupiter series has the same problem.

Ideally it should do this:

But there should be some sort of coupling even if coupling link is left to the imagination.

Push the 'p' key before you try to hook up.

Yeah, it is in the manual and for me it doesn't work.

Cleared cache, reloaded, etc. and it fails to work.

Well it works here as you can see from my picture. I pushed the r key before making contact.

"Auto Coupling" was turned off in options !*don-know!* , now it couples without the draw link.

Happy with that!

Harold

EDIT: Got the coupling link to work with Ctrl-P which is cosmetic:

Checking the Jupiter manual, Ctrl-P is correct.

First of all, this is a great locomotive :D

But i've also found two little bugs. The keys 'R' and 'Shift R' for the desired fire mass don't work. Only the lever in the firebox works.

Sometimes there are problems switching on/off the headlight.

Thanks, I'm glad you're enjoying running the 119 !!*ok*!!

Yes, that's a bug. Well spotted! It probably worked before I fiddled with the way of making the slider appear only after clicking in the firebox opening with the mouse. I have to admit that I always use the mouse and had forgotten all about testing R and Shift R *!lol!*

The loco has to be standing still. That's because someone would have to go up front to light the lamp with a match.

I know that the loco has to be standing still. It looks like it only happens if the track isn't flat.

Example: Starting on Donner Pass at Emigrant Gap --> 1.9% grade
UP 119 is standing still but can't switch on the light. Jupiter can (after giving her some steam to not roll away)

Seems like 119 has stronger tender brakes than Jupiter *!lol!*

Ah, I think it's because of the "sliding bug" (TS wonky physics). On steep grades, locos will slide downhill (no matter how strong the brakes are) - it's probably sliding fast enough to be above the threshold that the script considers as standing still. I think what I'll have to do in the next patch is to raise that threshold just for the headlight.
