RWA, A Few Years Later

I started this a while back, but finally got some major work done in the last few days. This will be my first "route release" as it is a cloned route. In this version of the RWA, we find ourselves in the middle of a growing railroad. Traffic from the sawmill and mine have increased as well as through traffic for our two Class 1's on either end of the road. Waterton has gained many new industries that the RWA gained rights and built track to serve. Track was built coming off the Class 1 interchange to connect with the yard's ladder track. As freight traffic picked up, so too did the passenger ridership; at the depot on the Class 1 railroad, track was built to connect to the RWA main, thus creating a very large wye at Waterton. At the West end of the yard, another ladder track was built so that trains could go in an out of the yard without having to stop and switch cars/trains around

West Waterton went from a flag stop to small town over night.

Adkins got a long, wooden platform for passengers.

At Ridout, a connecting line was built to join to the small town of Walnut Creek. At Walnut Creek, cars in need of repair can be delivered to the privately owned Cedar Car Shops. Mr. Cedar saw the increase of railroad traffic at RWA as a business opportunity. He convinced the President and Board of Directors of the RWA to build track from Ridout to Walnut Creek to his shops so that he could repair cars before they went back to the Class 1's as well as the cars that RWA owned. RWA agreed and they did just that and built a station at Walnut Creek in order to serve the people there too. It was an all around success.

Right before Riverside, a large orchard went up and a spur was built as well as several car storage tracks.

At Riverside, the South end of the wye was connected to the mainline of the Class 1 as well as several more interchange tracks with the Class 1. And of course, a longer platform.

Other than the changes made above, I also added passenger capabilities to all platforms so now when you stop at a station, the passengers will get on and off.

At this point I feel I am at a point where I can release it. This is the list of what is required:

RWA Lakeside
RWA Vegetation Mod by Wayne
Sacramento Northern
Bessemer and Lake Erie

I think I'll beta test it first so if anyone is interested, PM me. I'll let the first five or so folks test it.

Can't wait for release! It looks great! Thank you for adding the a ability to get into the yard from either end instead of having to do a complicated "switchback" maneuver. Looks like this will be a joy to make a free roam on!

Work continues and I thank my beta testers for their work so far: WcCrupper and SooLine2714. I have "expanded" the route to the North of Waterton. RWA has received trackage rights by the Class 1 and so serves the small industrial town of Grove City, "City of Trees." I have also fixed a few things here and there and added a couple of spurs at West Waterton and Adkins.
