Those all look great! They'll be a welcome addition to the roster.

Indeed. I need to get my research done on that paint before I start skinning, but since (from what I can tell) at least the 119, 120 and one other (there is at least one photo of these locos triple heading with a pair of Utah Div. cabooses behind them) were stationed in Ogden, it would probably be an apt addition to this set to have the cabooses that they always seem to be paired with.

Yeah, I still need to finish a few final things on them. Among other things, I got some new information regarding paint that merited more than a bit of a rework:
Image
Her pilot needs some work - apparently it had a lot more red on it than just the in-fill at the edges there, based on Jim Wilke's latest revision. Strictly speaking this isn't too big a change - she's now a "three-color" engine, her colors being Prussian blue, crimson, and apparently, wine. I'm kind of a fan.
After the pilot, I also need to get the shine on the cab down to match the 119 a little better.

It's certainly looking very good so far - and less "Disneyesque" than the current livery on the Golden Spike National Park replica of Jupiter.

I guess disney should do disney... so if they want bright colors on their engines, then...

Barring a few pesky pieces of hardware on the pilot beam, the Jupiter could conceivably be called done.

Update: Mike I'm gonna need some help here. I've tracked down the sides of that metal piece and I know the general location of the bolts, but it is absolutely impossible for me to see what parts of the bolts are bounded where. If you can get a a UV layout for those six still-red bolts on the pilot deck, I'd be much obliged. !!**sorry**!!

Also: look familiar?

Adding that to the list, I guess...

I'm kind of embarrassed that I didn't notice this on the flatcar before I skinned it, but...
Image
The tank on these cars is offset somewhat, causing it to clip through the support on one end of the car. It only seems to be a problem on the "flat car w/side bolsters" asset.
Also - quick note - the "flat car with side bolsters" is, as near as I can tell, actually an early water car, matching a fairly standard CP design. If you look on PDF page 202 of the Appleman report you can see one in closer detail, complete with one of the two square hatches on the top of the car.

No worries, I'll get that to you today.

Yes! The CPRR's yard in Reno, NV. I was actually planning on doing a free update to the Jupiter pack to add the boxcar in CPRR livery, but you go ahead :D

I'll leave it up to you then, that way you can do auto numbering. :D I'll PM you Andrew Brandon's lettering stencil for it, though you'll have to fill in some of the numbers yourself. It's a fairly block text so it shouldn't be too difficult.

I'd also say if you're feeling it, a flatcar based on the UP car would be good to put in CP as well, it's closer to what the average CP homebuilt flat would likely have looked like:

Similar cars were also built for the LA&SP, LA&I, V&T and other roads that I will skin up in time.

I never knew Abraham Lincoln was a Switchman on his days off!
Nowadays they take vacations and golf, that's back when men were men! *!lol!*
Love the repaints Trainboi!

Haha. Nah, not Abe, just that in Reno, we know how to dress right. *!!wink!!*
Some of these skins (particularly 119's sisters and the CPRR flatcar) should be ready, Mike has agreed to give them a spin so I know the pack works before uploading it to RWA. While Utilities loads, though, and after doing a quick run with (what turned out to be a slightly, but not entirely erroneous) UV set from Mike on the bolts (you'll note there are eight now darkened that oughtn't to be, but that's it), I decided I might as well at least have fun with Jupiter.

The red/wine/blue pilot is growing on me, but I still think it weird.
