Is there any chance we can give this a rest? You have all made your points.

I agree, TSW is still in early access! Must admit, a manifest would be a nice feature to have in the game.

Dovetail is a gaming company they make games. that's what they do. As I am sure they have figured out now Unreal is unsuitable for train simulation. Great for killing zombies not good for creating huge layouts with 100 car trains. As far as physics go they are from England they know nothing about American trains, but hey they do make them look pretty. !!*ok*!! I want to buy TSW but, too many negative reviews for me at tis time. RW still fits the bill. *!!thnx!!*

A somewhat sweeping, ignorant and borderline racist sentiment. Plenty of people from this side of the pond are interested in US/Canadian railroads and with that comes research, knowledge and understanding of how things work. If there is a lack of understanding at DTG, don't lump all of us in the same boat, along with our tea and cricket... **!!bang!!**

They don't even know how trains in the UK work so it isn't just North American's trains that get screwed. Without the AP packs and such, I don't think I could run the UK stock with rocketship physics.

Borderline racists? Give me a break. Ignorance of reality is not racist. It's just ignorant.

Perhaps "racist" was too strong a term, then (though racism does not necessarily revolve around skin colour) maybe parochial would have been a better choice of words. The implication seemed to be, only Americans know how to build American routes/trainset assets. Granted at times DTG don't know their hind end from their elbow and nowhere is that more evident than the physics in TSW (and their reluctance to fix or even admit it's plain wrong) just don't tar those of us outside the company who do like to dabble in the NA scene with the same brush. Otherwise you might as well say only Germans should build a German route, only the Aussies should build something in Australia. (Not sure where that leaves the handful of train simmers in Iceland... !*roll-laugh*! ).

Anyhow my last word on the topic*, at least until we see how the physics roll with the HST and Class 166 along the Thames Valley in a few weeks time.

* Other than if you guys want an "All American" train sim, well Run 8 is down the street on the corner which offers now, what, some 400 miles heading in an easterly direction from Bakersfield plus a chunk of Florida and upstate New York. So what are you even doing here? :D Of course, last time I checked there was at least one (very highly regarded) British artist on the 3DTS core staff...

I don't believe we want a all anything Vern, just one that is as good as we can make it and the death star as we know is no where near the last word, it would be nice if they would correct things after it is pointed out and in fact often told what the answer to the problem is. I have found with all of the third party folks they seem more than willing to make corrections if something is pointed out to them.
