Seriously, Shafter Avenue is a good example of what happens when a city grows around an existing railroad, airport, or industrial facility. Many of SN's neighbors became resentful of the noise and danger of the trains, which often had to operate at very slow speeds in order to avoid collisions with the street traffic. This compilation of historic footage https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R-Xsq1ELjW4&t=20s will give you an idea of what it was like. The Shafter sequence begins at 2:49 and some real fun begins at 9:48.

If I had to guess a texture is missing from your sky dome. Are you using a custom sky?

How did the SN trains position themselves at stops with little to nonexistent platforms? I'd assume that if a passenger in, say, the third trailer needed to disembark at West Lafayette, the conductor would inform the motorman to align the train there so that car 3's staircase stops next to the shelter. But if there were passengers in cars 1 and 4 who need off at West Lafayette, how would the train align its stop?
Also, since passengers could not walk between cars, was there an operating pattern that dictated which cars aligned with the shelters at scheduled/flag shops to make sure that passenger numbers were evenly distributed throughout the train?
