NERW Lafayette Division Preview

Welcome to the preview of the Lafayette route. This route is not finished yet but we have been working on it for so long I figured I will release it as a preview and then keep working it until completed. There are some scenarios to run. However some of them may not work any longer for one reason or another. The quick drive scenarios got borked somehow and need redone.

This is a complete package. All the rolling stock created for LA is also included.

There are 4 files you will have to deal with.

1. LAF_Assets_Part_1.zip
2. LAF_Assets_Part_2.zip

These above 2 files need to be unzipped somewhere on your system (a TEMP folder would be good) then run the RW_Assetsetup.exe program. Do them one at a time. If you do not what to install them that way, you can just manually copy the files into your Railworks folder structure.

3. Lafayette_Fleet_Final_v1.zip
4. NERW_LA_Preview.zip

Files 3 & 4 need to be unzipped. Inside them is a RWP file, these can be installed with the Utilities.exe file found in your Railworks folder. Or you can open them up with winRAR or 7zip and manuall copy them over as well.

You should install them in their numerical order as listed.

You are going to find areas not completed and a few bugs no doubt. Please report them in the thread for the route on the forums.

The trackwork is complete as is the signalling. You may find some whacky speed limit changes where you go from 50 to 30 to 50 in a few feet, mostly happening around a switch.

The route is intense in some places, low end computers may struggle especially if 3D weather is used.

Awesome news, I didn't want to pester anyone by asking about progress but I've been looking forward to this one since I read the thread.

*!!thnx!!* to all who've been working on it.

Glad to see the Lafayette Route distributed. Your team did a great job of putting this route together and it is fun to operate. Thanks for all your good work.

It runs from Tipton Indiana to and including all of Lafayette Indiana. It's mostly the old Monon trackage now run by NS with a little CSX thrown in.

I have an older version of this route installed. Should I remove that before installing this version?

(This post also inserted in the other recent NERW thread.)

You will only need the asset pak #2 and the route file.
