I'm going to get the T&D one since it has the Conrail and the Chessie U30C's.

Zek, you might want to reconsider that. Check out the "U30C - Rebirth" thread to see the differences. I am planning a minor update for the older VRC units to bring them a bit closer to what Steam has, but I will not be able to make them match exactly, so the Steam version is considered the most current.

In spite of that excellent sale job above I am more than happy with the superb job you did the first time around. !*roll-laugh*! !*roll-laugh*!

Same here. I've had lots of opportunity to look "Under The Hood" very up close. Its a top notch unit all around.
Steam partnership will give a lot of people a chance to experience this fine locomotive. !*salute*!

Totally off thread, but I've just seen...

When it comes to new RW routes/rolling stock.
Believe it when you are downloading it.

Ah! Such delightful innocence... :D

Me, I stay wary for a whole lot longer.

Still, if you enjoy walking into lamp-posts... *!!wink!!*

Kind regards,

However, the Conrail paint is not in the steam version, right?

Thank you for informing me on the updates. I'll weigh in my options..

No, the Conrail livery is not in the Steam version. It was replaced with a unit with older style Adirondak trucks. However, I have already prepared a set of Conrail reskins for this unit. Once I know whether it's going to be a Workshop item or if it's going to be a self-release, i'll get it out.

Hey smart A$$. I happened to test these locomotives out first hand. I went back and forth with the builder on problems that were fixed. Suggestions were listen too and rectified.
It was a long process of trial and error that ended with a completed workable locomotive. I'll say it again "Believe it when your downloading it".
There has been hundreds of potential "projects"
That have never appeared to the RW users. Pipe dreams, vapor ware, or wishful thoughts. This is one engine that has been through the process and is ready to run.
Stay wary as long as you like. Its your loss.

Me too I need some Conrail in my collection! Conrail use to run in my area and they will play a major role in one of my workshop routes. Good thing I have it saved in my basket so I can buy it at a later time. Two liveries is better than one. Your making a big mistake VRC.

Dejoh,

My apologies. No personal slur was intended. *!sad!*

My point was much more general. I think you echoed it precisely when you said...

My apologies back at you. I have to remember that this is somewhat of a hobby strictly for our enjoyment. Life is too short to get excited or upset over little things.
Now when I whacked my thumb with a hammer the other day, then I got upset. !**duh*!!

I need a couple of victims to test some Conrail skins for this loco. If you are feeling brave and know a little about the RW file system, PM me and let me know.

There's no such thing as Workshop reskins. I think you mean Marketplace. Those with scenarios using the older versions will need RWTools to swap

I will be willing to test the Conrail reskins on the Conrail line I'm making which is the Beacon/Maybrook Line in Upstate New York. Private message me it so I can give you feedback. I couldn't private message you JerryC so here I am letting you know.
