They operate each railroad independently of the others, so it's not one massive one its a collection of all of them.

They really are a holding company not a railroad as such. Someone on here might be able to explain their management structure.

Basically like Buzz said, G&W is just a company that owns a group of smaller railroads. Each railroad operates as a separate company.
