CSX C40-8s (Dead/Vaporware)

BNSFdude, I think that rumor might have some truth to it. A credible source just reported that 10 CSX CW40-8s are being sent to GE in Erie for a GEVO-esque rebuild.

In other news, my YN3 C40-8 lives! I finally got around to re-doing this one.

These aren't dead, I just went back and redid the YN2 skin for the second or third time.

Now that the new TSW has been announced, the question must be asked; should these be continued? Personally I'm planning on having both versions of the sim, but if a lot of members are switching to the new game (which has no backwards compatibility), then I probably won't continue any of these skins (unless you asked for some of these, of course). Or any other future projects. I'm sure a lot of other content providers share the same feelings as I do.

Chime in. I need to determine what my next steps are.

Train Simulator 20XX is not going anywhere and DTG will be support both for a long time to come.
Back in 2007 I stated that we would support RS (as it was back then) and that is still the case.

Both Sims will live side by side.
I personally will be enjoying what I love in TS while enjoying TSW too.

I just wanted to know if more people would move to the new sim, because my current efforts will pretty much be futile if that's the case.

We're all keeping this current gen sim. They will be two separate games. I'd say a lot of us have a good amount invested in this game, so to drop it entirely seems idiotic. I think a lot of people will continue to use this gen, it has a lot more content and a lot of varied content TSW won't have for a very, very long time.

I say continue. You've put a lot of effort into these and there seems to be no point to give up. There will still be a lot of people using this gen of sim and will get a lot of use out of what your making. Including myself.

To sum it up, you shouldn't quit. This sim is still a great one, even though the graphics are old. There's still a lot of things for users of the current TS to enjoy.

That is certainly true. In fact, I'm starting to wonder why I even asked the question . Really the only thing I'm not looking forward to now is having both versions (CSX is included - I'm sold).. I'm a big OCD freak, so running two completely different versions of the sim will drive me nuts!

Lots of good points. I was just afraid that a lot of people would leave this version in the dust and upgrade to TSW (which was an idiotic thought in itself!).

Anyways, I appreciate the input guys. I opened up a poll that can be used for further discussion. Now back to coating blue on locomotives.
