Honestly Wayne, I don't think he was ridiculing your work. Everyone knows this kind of effect can't be controlled by the route author.
In an earlier post, he said "great route".
From what I see, I think it was just a clumsy attempt at humor, poking fun at the game's limitations. Unless I'm missing deleted posts or something.

The one who was 13 right? My guess would be poor social skills, not malice.

I think it looks great.

Yeah, sorry. Was just playing along.
I was definitely not saying it was bad though. I would pay for this route.

**!!2cents!!**
Wayne, I have been following these routes for some time (as you would know) and I would gladly pay to own, so there is certainly no issue, in fact you would be the premier route builder. Your attention to detail is without equal. I would hate to see it become unavailable through miss understanding.

Buzz - the lad is 13. I think it is just inexperience in social interaction. How many at this age today do know how to interact satisfactorily with others? Maybe if his posts were moderated for a while it would give him some experience he needs. If we cut him off, he is just not going to get it, and you never know, he could turn out to be one of the hobby's leading lights in modelling or route building or something.

!*cheers*!

Technically, I've already made the Thurmont and Branford, and I am in the process of making the White Mountain branch in NH, but I also don't know if you are referring to me or the other guy.

What I was aiming for in this thread was a two way dialog on this type of railroading in this area and era. I was hoping to hear others sharing their knowledge on the subject. I thought we might talk about the route building techniques and methods I've used. And maybe suggestions and ideas for what could be improved in the scenes I post. Even this issue of the water reflection could have been framed constructively. If it let down the scene, I don't mind hearing that. Suggest work-arounds maybe. But spiking your feedback with double ROFL icons is sure to convey the wrong spirit.

This issue has been resolved. Lets get back to talking trains.

Agreed. Trains are a much better topic.

To help get back to it, do you happen to have a planned paint scheme for the CVP? Or is that an after-route is finished thing?

Nothing firm. Generally I like red and burgundy since they look good in pictures against the natural green background ( that shows my priorities! ). I was thinking the CVP might be a subsidiary of CPR and have adopted a CPR esq paint scheme. BTW, similarly I like red roofs on steam loco cabs. I'm open to suggestions.

A lot of roads up here had a interesting "thing " they followed. Either the railroad painted the locomotive in semi matching colors (ie GN steam, BN) or contrasting colors (Ie NP, GN diesels). I reccomend a two tone green like the PGE or early BCRail alcos used to wear. If you want I can let you use my fictional SGRR diesel scheme if you want. I would be more then happy to let you use it!

I have finally connected up the gaps between Oddessa and Panaska ( see Map https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BzuoZRfI-rtqcnV5SE4tdFVSZlk. I have about a 10 mile run now through finished scenery. Part of this push was finishing the division yard at Columbia. Its nice to have that done. Columbia isn't ready for pictures yet, but here's a couple of shots taken along Arrow Lake.

!!**sorry**!! to be "that guy" but it has been nearly 3 long months since there has been any news and I would just hate to have this project fall off the world and die - we have so few steam friendly routes and with attention moving to the new sim fairly soon, just cant be too careful *!!wink!!*
