As an added bonus, the California Zephyr pack will also include EMD F9A and F9B locomotives dressed in Denver & Rio Grande Western’s single-stripe “Aspen Gold” livery, re-creating the locomotives that frequently powered the streamliner and its successor, the Rio Grande Zephyr, through the Colorado Rockies and over Soldier Summit. We’ll be taking a look at that topic in an upcoming article.

I like this line, F9 will be a welcome addition and as a bonus, that's even better.

It looks like a nice and tempting train. Reppo's work?

Now, is the DTG Feather River Canyon route fit for passenger service? The 3DTrains route for MSTS still is my reference, and it has separate passenger and freight speed limits and signposts. Even with extra special Zephyr speed limits, usually 10 MpH above the freight limit.

DTG's FRC has recently been updated, what where the updates?

No, it is not a Reppo's work, when I do a model for DTG I do it as Ricardo Rivera. Reppo is the name only for my third party projects. Btw, I only did the cars and pass view, locomotives are made by other developer.

Best regards.

Congratulations on your passenger cars, they ARE the Zephyr. The locomotives just pull them.

Hopefully soon, an early buyer can tell if advanced braking has been included. Perhaps vintage Diesels like FP7 didn't use 26L brake formula at 110 PSI round that time?

They used 24RL schedule brakes..

So that's a no then? The first review up on Steam makes no mention of advanced braking either. I suppose it wouldn't make that much of a difference on short passenger trains.

No advanced brakes, but it does use 24RL brakes.

The braking is just fine. Though it might take some time to stop at 60mph with a Min. Reduction and Dynamics.
"If you really needed a diesel locomotive right away, then go ahead and order a ALCO. But if you could wait for real quality, then go for an EMD or a GE".
