!!howdy!! Hats off to all three of you (Miner, Railer, and Matt) for reminding us that we can still encounter really well made discussions and arguments and get a actual response and not just the one sided "Yea but this is how it is!!!1!11!!" arguments and/or discussions that seem to be common in this era of the forums.

Erik,

Bless you for pointing this out and thank you. I want to say firstly, that all my concerns were not only addressed but done so personally. That action fully restored my faith in Dovetail. To describe the sense of betrayal I felt at the moment was so strong, I had actually stared at this thread for an hour waiting for a response. I thought it was over. Our good friend, Fanrailer had the dedication to come and reiterate his opinion. His opinion was strong and I deferred to his knowledge of file structure given his knowledge of modifications. He argument was very sound. I haven't heard back from him yet, but let me say here, I respect his knowledge and his dedication to our hobby. Fanrailer is an intelligent, mature and reasoning man. Other parties reached out to me in the morning and they also continue to have my respect. They have a bit more now actually, because I now understand the relationship between what we do here and what can happen in the game. It is a positive and mutually respectful one and that is just stunning to me. Lastly, In the morning, I knew I had truly thrown down the gauntlet when I realized "oh man, I am never going to run a Bi-level and the Bergen!"

So Erik, you really perceived what was going on and I am pleased to confirm and I will quote you "That is the best and most mature discussion with generous amounts of evidence from both sides i have seen on this forum". Well said.

So some one do me a favor and park a ALP-45 with the Bi-levels in Waldwick and make my day!
!*cheers*!
Warm regards to all,
Minerman

If you Google the multilevels you will find at least half a dozen railroads that ordered those coaches.

As far as I know, NJT, AMT and MARC have been the only buyers so far.

Have tried editing the camera animation? If the lower level is modelled, you can try to lower the z-value of one of the interior camera positions so it is on the lower level.

Why don't you check it out for us and report back?

Here you go:

So it turns out the lower level doesn't exist but the people are still there. !**duh*!! The couplers also render too but they were out of the shot.
Oh well. I still think this is great DLC and I think they did a nice job on the passenger view anyway :D

So to follow up on this if the ends are not modeled what do you see when the car is stopped and the doors are open? Sorry I can't do this myself as I am one of those who has the route but not the loco.

I'm just curious: with these "rewards" that are linked to ownership of one or more DLC items, if someone who does not own the prerequisites purchases them later -- even quite a while later, do the "rewards" come along as well?

AlcoFan is correct, NJ Transit, Montreal’s Metropolitan Transportation Agency, and Maryland’s MARC are the present operators of Bombardier MultiLevels. This information and the differences between the MultiLevels and Bombardier BiLevels (which are owned by other roads) is covered in the Train-Simulator.com article on the MultiLevels: http://train-simulator.com/arriving-soon-nj-transit-multilevels/

What you are seeing there, is the separate interior model. If they modeled the whole car with the level of detail that they put into the upper level, I'm sure our computers wouldn't be too happy. In the outside view when the doors are open, the whole interior is modeled. (Although it is lower resolution)

In all honesty, it's not a huge deal. I would think if they want to possibly model lower level passenger view, it can be done in one of the other two supplied trailer cars.

Not all might know about this but there's a freeware soundpack from TheAudioShack. https://www.dropbox.com/s/gnno4ejztxix6 ... 1.zip?dl=0

Sounds will work with FanRailer's physics mod if proxyxmls are placed in proper directories.

Has anyone figured out how to get the ditchlights to work? The image in the manual seems to have a arrow pointed to the brake handle as the control for the ditchlights...I can't find a switch anywhere.

You can turn the MultiLevel ditch lights on and off with the "J" key on the keyboard.
