Can't jump using mini map

Unread postby SAR704 » Sun Feb 14, 2016 7:15 am

I just made a copy of a route that was a bit buggy upon loading, and copied the track and road tiles folder to the new one. Whilst it's mostly fine, for some reason I can't jump to a point using the mini map. Every time I click on a point to go to, it reverts back to the current point when I hit the jump icon.

What could be going on here? Is there anything in route properties/whatever I can edit to get it working again?

The route has virtually no scenery so far, only track and a few roads.

Did you name the new one another name? Over on the asset side of the route you need the file Route Markers folder with the locations that you want to jump to. Is that your problem or am I giving you an answer that's not to the question you asked?

I haven't assigned markers to this route. It's the mini map that's playing up. I click somewhere, the long/lat changes to that matching the selected point, then I click jump, and it reverts back. It's strange.

Not that I'm not easily confused but what are youu referring to as the mini map? Do you mean the 2D map or something else?

The icon just above the word lat in the centre window, which has an orange arrow. Apologies if I was too subtle.

Hey I have only been into this thing for going on six years. I never knew you could do that even.

Doesn't matter now as I've restarted the route with a new template, properties etc, and the jump function works ok. I'm skipping the town at the start for now, so onto fencing, placing roads etc.

Which part of what you did fixed the problem you think?

To be honest, I'm not really sure myself. Maybe Hack might know more about this sort of thing.
