Questions, Questions

Unread postby charliechan » Sat Jun 13, 2015 11:52 am

Good Morning:

I downloaded the Corliss Terminal Alco HH660 by Harry Adkins and installed according to the readme. My problem is I can’t seem to get any sound from inside or outside. I thought that I might be missing something so I clicked on the link that is on the download page but that takes me to the download page for the Decatur Junction route, which I downloaded but I could not find any mention to the HH660. So I thought I would try to download the original engine but that also seems to have disappeared.

My next question happened while I was searching for the HH660. I came upon the Hood River route which I downloaded and installed. A very nice little route and a long thread in the forums about the Mt. Hood RR but around 2011 it just up and stops. Is this a dead project. It is a very well done route.

Thanks for the hard work you guys do.

Hi,

I answer your question about the HH660. Missing sounds are most likely caused by not having installed, or not having enabled in the scenario, the Kuju\Railsimulator and Kuju\RailsimulatorUS assets (now part of the US / European Loco and Assets DLC packs). The HH660 uses sounds and probably a few other things from the Kuju assets.

The original releases of my conversion of Allen Norton's HH660 are still around if you think you need them for one of the repaints. Look for Alco HH ATSF, NYC, BM, NEC, PT, or NH. If they aren't in the file library here, you can find them at ElvasTower.com.

Cheers

Good Morning:

Thank you for the come back. The other models that I have installed all have sounds from the 37 loco. That would be the SP,
BA, and the NYC. But the Corliss still doesn't have a sound. I will keep looking.

Thanks again for the help.

Chandler,
I would look to see if it is installed in exactly the same place as your other ones. The reference to the sound is exactly what the others are. I just installed it (manually I might add) and it has sound. Look in the Nortec_HH660 folder and make sure it's placed there like the others.
