The old speed limit is supposed to remain in effect until the last car clears the sign.

This is correct. The back of the train is still in the speed restricted zone.

Are you telling me that it is now busted again ??????

Remember the slot machine ???? If you're old enough. !!jabber!!

I remember that. The slot machine wouldn't pay out for years and they thought it was busted, then near the end of the movie it suddenly paid out. !*roll-laugh*!

Well, why are there 2 ban files for the brakepipe gages in the passenger view folder ???

Oh yea, the yeller caboose gages work just fine behind the U36.
So they do work, just not with the GP9 & SD40T-2

You beat me to show-shot posting, Buzz! I had wondered earlier in this thread whether the snow effects depicted in one of DTG's publicity shots would actually appear. The answer is, they do! and then some!!

Here's one of my own:

Image

Okay, the publicity folks exaggerated both the amount of snow accumulation on the engines and its "heapiness" (how's that for a word?), but it does look good. Perhaps one day snow can pile up on freight and passenger cars as well, not to mention other assets, but this looks pretty good for now.

Speed decreases from the front and increases from the back. :D

Billy - feel free to plug them in.

That is interesting about the DGRW speed sign placement. The is a sign about 1/4 mile before the change, but the sensor is in the 60 mph track not in the 50 mph track. So is this a special sensor just for this route? I took it as advance warning!

I guess they are warnings, fundamentally, and the signs are placed in the same way as a warning sign would be with really long links connected to the new speed limit. There's a blueprint settings which will display HUD speeds from the track speed limits rather than from the sign links and that's what's been done with this route, which is how the visible signs and HUD speeds are different. The same approach was taken with New York-New Haven, although in that route there weren't any physical signs. :D

So you get three for the price of one. What's the problem?

So far all I've seen is people saying you get three for the price of one.. well if you only want one of the routes and have no desire for the other two, why waste space on your computer storing two routes you're not even going to play? Train Simulator already has enough problems with missing assets and having to verify cashe all the time that some people don't want to add to the cluster of files. Just my **!!2cents!!** , I already know yours.

You can actually go to the library page on Steam and uninstall DLC you don't want. Just untick the box of the DLC you don't want and it will be gone off your computer. If one day you decide you want it back just re-tick the box and it will install again.

Anyone else notice the horns on the GP9?

Did the DRGW have them that way?

Picked up this route today and I have to admit, DTG did a very nice job with this route. The physics are well done and a big step in the right direction. Unlike some past releases, the trains actually "feel heavy"!

I'm quite impressed by the amount of effort that obviously went into creating Soldier Summit. I've only managed a couple of runs so far but really like what I've seen so far. Well done to all involved. !!*ok*!!

Kind regards,

I have purchased and downloaded it, but haven't had time to try it out. From the discussion and screenies I'm seeing here, it looks like I'll really like it.
