Is there something wrong with me? I bought the 3 route pack, got all of the routes for only 35 bucks when it should be 120 bucks, I'm appreciative of the free routes, and other than possibly wanting some upgraded sounds I'm ecstatic with my purchase. Could someone explain to me how to complain better? !*roll-laugh*!

Seriously, over recent months and even beyond that this board has become quite the downer. Nobody seems happy anymore, just a bunch of "I don't like that, gimmie that, its broken, I want this, DTG sucks, etc." this forum isn't what it used to be be. Its ashame most people on here can't see the effort DTG has been putting in just recently, I've been repeatedly impressed and even more so every new route. The same people are always upset with stuff, why come back and make others miserable? This is suppose to be a fun hobby. !*hp*!

To you people that don't want these routes how about just delete them instead of getting on here and bitching about getting something for nothing. What is wrong with you? This is supposed to be a positive forum not a place for you people unhappy with your lives to vent about about nothing. Get a clue.

I didn't think my post was bitching or venting, just stating my opinion (which I guess isn't allowed around here). I will in fact end up deleting the content I don't want as you stated so either way it's not affecting me. Someone needs to take a look in the mirror though because most of your posts are quite negative in nature.

I am thoroughly enjoying this route so far. I like the new brakes (nice work Mike!). With a few sound tweaks to the rolling stock and SD40's, it's really great! Even with some of the minor faults, DTG has definitely been stepping up the quality lately. !!*ok*!!

People have just as much right to complain as they do to praise. If you are perfectly happy with your purchase, then why are you miserable simply because others have complaints? If I'm happy with a purchase, people can complain all day long. It won't put a dent into MY happiness.

I'll get this route at some point. Looks really nice and looks to be a must have despite it's minor shortcomings.

On a sad note...

I had to call 911 to have my mother rushed to the hospital and she passed away suddenly 5 hours later...on mother's day of all days....with my birthday 2 days later. It's why I haven't been posting lately and have been in no mood to train sim. *!sad!*

But keep the pics and feedback rolling in boys...good or bad! !!*ok*!!

So you get three for the price of one. What's the problem?

So far all I've seen is people saying you get three for the price of one.. well if you only want one of the routes and have no desire for the other two, why waste space on your computer storing two routes you're not even going to play? Train Simulator already has enough problems with missing assets and having to verify cashe all the time that some people don't want to add to the cluster of files. Just my **!!2cents!!** , I already know yours.

First off, let me say in all seriousness, condolences to you and your family.

Hear me out, constructive criticism is good and necessary, trivial matters no so much. Also I'm not miserable because others seem miserable, I'm just a bit annoyed. Going back to my first post this board isn't what it was when I first joined in 2011. People have come and gone but the attitude or overall atmosphere of it has changed drastically of the entire board and that upsets me. Could be that I spend a lot of time in this section of the board and don't see other positive parts, could be my own view is skewed.

Ironically due to the nature of a forum, people on here don't necessary have the right to say what they want. The admins are the jury, judge, and executioner. Technically Buzz could ban the whole board if he wanted too but he doesn't, all he does is voice his displeasure on some comments people make, would you rather he be banning or disciplining all the time?

At this point I'm beating a dead horse and most people don't seem to get it, if anyone wants to continue this specific part of the conversation, lets do it in PM. Thanks, I don't want to clog up this board more than I already have.

Anyway about the route:

First things that impressed me was the was just how pretty it looked, very well done. I was also pleasantly surprised by the amount of features of both the locomotives had in terms of clickable switches/opening windows. Definitely has increase immersion for me. I was a bit worried about that because these were not brand new models unlike the U boat or AC6000 which had such features. Both front and rear lights have their respective controls in multiple levels of brightness. I also like how they did pretty up both the interior and exterior models. The lights have been modeled in 3D with clear glass and not just textured caps atleast on the SD40. Can't remember from last night what that detail was on the GP9, granted not a big deal at all.

I was also impressed by the amount of content that is included, between the large amount of DRGW content and also the variety of Amtrak equipment rounds out the route very well. I really hope DTG keeps improving like they have, everything keeps getting better and better as I said before. Will they ever be perfect, no, but each small step they take is better than none and contribute to a much better product.

The only thing that I wish would get some more attention would be in the sound department as others have said hopefully that is something DTG will improve upon down the road in other releases. Have enough talented people are here that can help with that.

Overall it is definitely a route that people need to at least consider, granted I haven't been able to spend a lot of time with it but at first glance this route is quite nice.

Best Regards,
Cat

Hey! One thing I just noticed along with the fact that the speed now is on the head end which makes for some interesting differences in driving technique is that I just loaded up sixty loaded coal cars and powered away NO STRETCHY COUPLERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cool beans.
