Some of the models are pretty incredible though. I found a 757 that comes with a 400+ page manual.

You'll quickly find that payware FSX addons are considerably more expensive than TS addons. Similarly, addons for FSX are considerably more realistic than TS addons. No one complains about payware addons in FSX because they're usually close to perfect.

OFF TOPIC. This is about trains. There is a thread in geek speak if you want to talk about this.

Stevens Pass is one of the best routes in the game IMO. It makes your GPU earn it's keep, but I would still take it over the other two.

Stevens and Marias are both some of the most popular assets as well and will also allow you to get Moscow, Camden and San Augustine Route (Stevens Pass) and Majestic Falls (Stevens, Marias, Horseshoe Curve) which are two excellent free shortline routes on the Workshop.

TS2015 Steam Edition is $8.24 right now if any of you are looking to pick up NY-NH, the Surfliner, the Surfliner commuter packs, London-Peterborough or the Munich Garmisch-Partenkirchen route there's no better time.

Is the NS Coal District + CSX SD80MAC and NS C40-8 worth it? Most likely getting Marias and Stevens.

If you like slow long coal drags without a lot of switching this routes for you. I love Marias personally.

Waiting to see what comes my way on Christmas, I like passenger runs so I might be getting the new Miami route.

To be honest I'm a fan of fast mixed or doublestack freight trains that do about 60-70mph, with some switching. I generally love doing higher speed passenger runs.

Miami seems to be a cup of tea for me, although buggy.

Be sure to pick up the TS2015 Steam edition then if you haven't already. Pacific surfliner (and commuter packs) + NY-NH are great for pax runs with some freight and switching capability.

The new Miami route is pretty trick. It doesn't seem buggy to me. I have been on it four times and no issues of any kind........other than the letters are too big or too small (I forget) ditchlights are in the wrong place (or not) trains are going over the wrong bridge (or not) and the FEC is not there (for sure). The scenery is excellent and the frame rates are really good. Oh I forgot the trucks don't track corrrrectly on the passenger cars but they do stay on the tracks. All in all it's worth every penny since the FEC could be added to this easily.

Holy cow I wasn't expecting so many scenarios.
That's enough to keep me playing well into the retirement home.
