I take the Silver Meteor every year from Delray Beach to New York Penn, and honestly, the scenery down here is nothing special. Having said that, the operations are very interesting, and Tri-Rail is fun. It's also incredibly suburban (and urban through West Palm Beach) so it makes for busy looking scenery. Lots of grade crossings, but all of Palm Beach County and most of Broward is a quiet zone.

Here's a nice graphic.

I think the included rolling stock might include Tri-Rail F40PH-2Cs, GP49s, and bi-levels. A DLC pack of a Brookville BL36PH with Hyundai Rotem cars, and a Colorado Railcar DMU will be great additions. I would not be surprised if the new Miami Central station is used or CSX equipment is included. I don't know if Amtrak rolling stock will be included (G-trax P42, Baggage, Viewliner, Heritage Diner, Amfleet II), or workshop scenarios are possibilities.

If the included rollingstock is going to be anything like the last several American routes, chances are we're just going to get an ES44 repaint and the same selection of freight cars they've used in Pacific Surfliner, NYNH, Marias Pass, etc. . .

The problem is that this route has minimal freight service; it is nearly exclusively commuter + Amtrak. CSX runs trains in the middle of the night, and that's about it.

I swung by Tamarind Avenue on my lunch break today to take a quick shot of the West Palm Beach Seaboard Station!
Great job DTG team! I'm very eager to see more! **!!bow!!**

I'm really curious to see what they do with this. Will they include Tri-Rail equipment with the route, or new Amtrak equipment, or just CSX? The last option is unlikely given they're obviously putting great effort into the detail of the passenger stations. To me, almost as important as the Tri-Rail equipment is new Amtrak equipment (Viewliners, Amfleet IIs, Heritage Diner hopefully). When I go foaming on this line, I do it for the Silver Service, not the hourly commuter. I really hope we have the opportunity to simulate the Silver Service.

So 3 of the 4 US routes released or announced from DTG in the last year are primarily passenger routes, interesting. Not that I'm complaining. I'd be willing to bet the new bilevels will be released for TriRail with or alongside the route, I'm curious to see if we'll get some new Amtrak passenger cars since they don't use Superliners.

Also 70 miles is not shabby at all, that's only about 10 miles less than the Pacific Surfliner, a bit longer than Sherman and almost twice as long as Horseshoe Curve.

So get penalized for honking your horn there?

Not sure how train simulator will penalize you or not, but IRL, you rarely hear the horn other than at stations

Most likely Amfleet II's.

The Pacific Surfliner route is almost twice as big at 128 miles long.

Actually, you're way off, the Pacific Surfliner is much longer than 70 miles. It's about 123, if my memory serves me correct.. and I don't think you're correct about the other two either.
