Strange horn

Hey guys! So recently after having a dilemma, I just have a question. After installing the CSX ES44 K5LA horn pack found on the library, it is extremely good but with one flaw. When you are super far from the train you can hear it's horn as if it was right next to you. not a big issue, just wanted to see if theres a way to fix it...

I don't know if I downloaded the right horn, but if it is, the problem is the sound files are stereo. They have to be mono files. I believe the only place stereo files are used is for ambient sounds. Use a program like Audacity to convert them to mono.
