I'm not so good that I can predict when I'm going to screw something up. Claudio's tool allows any number of scapshots to be taken during a scenario with the ability to select any one of them to return to, just like we can do in MSTS. I haven't had it for long but, so far, it does as advertised and I can now be a little less stressed and take more saves while running RailWorks.
The free version allows two saves and a donation, of any amount, opens it up to pretty much unlimited saves. The saves are organized by route and then scenario so they are easy to locate. They are labeled using the date and time in the computer rather than simulation time which makes it a little less useful. That would be my only criticism so far.

The real-world clock time does not relate to where I am in the scenario. The scenario has a clock setting at the start which advances throughout the run. If I note the time in the simulation when an event happens, then I can find a save that is earlier than that and know I will be reset prior to that event. Otherwise, I may have to select a few saves until I find the one I want. This is not a big deal. I could just as easily note the real-world clock time instead.
